Frank, you guys are to be commended. Your new album is terrific! The writing, arranging, and performing is all excellent. I have to say, I really enjoyed it and will be listening A LOT. The playing is superb. Really…all of it. Your guitar work is exceptional (as usual), creative and captivating. It’s not just “fast playing” either. It’s lyrical and wonderfully embellishing. I found myself busting out laughing just when I thought your solos were “really good” and then you’d hit the after-burners, and they just got stratospheric. Blake’s bass was sooo solid and authoritative – really stood out. I remember years ago when he started playing bass with us. He’s really gotten good. Vic’s drumming was LIVE and emotional…sounded and felt like a real drummer, not at all mechanical. And of course, his keys are perfectly complimentary. I miss playing with you guys.
And finally, I have to say, I was so impressed with the vocals. All 3 of you sounded terrific. Cathy’s singing is so solid and her voice sounds like an orchestral instrument. She could hold her own against Benatar, or any of the classic rock singers. You and Vic’s vocals were excellent. I was amazed at the depth of the vocal tracks! Those tracks sound like they were done in the best studios money can buy in NY, LA or Nashville. George did amazing work. In fact, the entire engineering work is just superb.
Enjoyed the concert at Lakeside Cmmty. The energy, lyrics and vocal expression made the show interesting and unique. The use of Classic Rock sounds is a great way to draw people to the message.
““But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.””
